Kirill Borgia about Kirill Borgia and his work:
I believe Eroticism is the most interesting subject for studying in many ways.
I discovered Fine Art Pohotography about ten years ago after I had been published in Russia as an erotic writer and translator. I am still proud to be the first who introduced books like the "O's" story and novels by Anais Nin to the Russian public in the 1990's.
Probably this is why some of my critics are saying that my photos are of a literature flavour.
I don't think it is wrong or bad in any way - my inspiration comes from the same source, that's it.
I believe, both, literature and photography, are designed not just to be a mirror of reality - they have a perfect ability to adjust or even improve it.
Those who like my pictures use to get surprised when I tell them, that I never shoot trained models - only ordinary Russian girls one can meet every day in the streets of Moscow. Moreover, you would probably not notice them - that ordinary looking they are, but on the photos they are really beautiful, sensual and erotic.
It still is magic - even for myself. I never use any advanced lighting, any special make-up etc. I just keep it simple and
natural.
Some of my work has been published in Russia, Denmark, Sweden and England. Today I concentrate on internet, which gives me a much wider access covering almost all nations in the world. And I always welcome any interesting ideas from other photographers, models or promoters.
